Scriptures that have recently had an affect on me

all scripture is copied from Biblegateway

Matthew 6:33 (New Century Version)

33 Seek first God’s kingdom and what God wants. Then all your other needs will be met as well.

Luke 12:15 (King James Version)

15And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.

Psalm 37:4 (New King James Version)

4 Delight yourself also in the LORD,
And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

1 John 2:15 (New King James Version)

15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

1 John 2:17 (New King James Version)

17 And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.

Philippians 4:6-7 (New King James Version)

6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

1 Timothy 6:6-7 (New King James Version)

6 Now godliness with contentment is great gain. 7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

Ugh, sorry.

I’ve been a bit non-existent lately. Sorry about that. I’ve been trying really hard to stay off the computer all day long. Since I have spent more time with my children and on my house…I have a clean office, a tidy craft area, the start of a home school center, and have started organizing the kitchen.

I have also discovered that my children are FUN. Granted one is only 4months old. The other 3 years old…he is hilarious. I wish I could video tape his whole life; he says the funniest things. The other day we were just lounging on my bed and he leans back, puts his hands behind his head and says “Ah, beautiful day.” LOL Where in the world do kids get this stuff?

What would you do if you spent less time on the computer?

Eli’s paintings

Eli wanted to paint with his new paints and easel his Nana got him for his birthday. So I set him up in the backyard just outside the kitchen so that I could clean the kitchen and keep an eye on him.

 “Ta-Da”

And of course, the ONE minute I leave the kitchen. I find the dog sitting there like this. haha

Make a List Monday: Books I’m reading

Leading Ladies: Willing Hearts, Willing Hands

This is the book we are reading for the women’s group at our church.

I’ve taken action and am going through a 90-day through the bible reading plan!
A friend of mine blessed me with this book. It is working wonders on how I view being a Godly wife!
I’ve had this book for about a year now. I don’t read it often, but I do read a chapter here and there. It’s great for instant motivation.

Not so wordless Wednesday

OK, so I decided to tackle the ‘formal dining room’, well the area that is supposed to be a formal dining room. We aren’t really formal dining room type people so we don’t use it as that. Eventually when we own a home I would like to buy furniture to match my grandmother’s hutch, but until then it’s a play area.

It was where the pack ‘n’ play was where we would change Charlotte’s diaper. I’ve wanted a play room that wasn’t Eli’s bedroom, so I took down the pack ‘n’ play and added toys. 🙂 Now If only I can keep today’s momentum going and get another area done! I do find that blogging about my organizing adventures motivates me a bit.

And a couple of the kids just because.

Take-Control Tuesday: New Curtain

Today I took control of the TV area. I’m sorry that I didn’t get before pictures. There were DVD’s all over the top of the tv. I also made this curtain. It’s out of an old table cloth and an old red sheet. I used an old shower curtain rod that hubby kindly sawed down for me. 🙂 I haven’t had fresh flowers in the house for a while. No one lives next door so I trimmed a few of the bushes.

I’m also linking to these! 🙂

The curtain was pretty easy to make. cut your fabric 4 inches longer then the length from the rod to the ground (or wherever you want). Fold the top over 4 inches and then sew across. SO easy to make!
